Dr Gerald O’Connor qualified with honours from University College Cork in 1998, where he achieved his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree and was awarded the Kerr Prize for Restorative Dentistry. Following his qualification, he spent 6 years gaining experience in a dental clinic in Essex before buying his own practice in 2004. Dr O’Connor quickly added a second location in 2006 and formed the Oak Dental Group.
After returning to Ireland in 2013, he set up Killiney Dental with his long-time partner Rosemarie. Gerald has a wealth of experience in dentistry with a vested interest in modern, evidence-based solutions. He enjoys implementing new dental treatments that are minimally invasive for patients without compromising their desire for an idealised smile. Dr O’Connor currently serves on the Irish Dental Association’s Quality and Patient Safety Committee. In his spare time, he enjoys films, music, fiction writing and being anywhere in sight of the sea.

Dr Rosemarie Maguire B.Dent.Sc., B.A., T.C.D.
Principal Dentist & Owner
Rosemarie qualified in 2001 with a Bachelor of Dental Science and a Bachelor of Arts, from Trinity College, Dublin. Since living in the UK she worked in Essex for 11 years, joining the Rochford Dental Practice in 2004. In 2013 she returned to Ireland with Dr O’Connor and their children to set up Killiney Dental in 2013.
Rosemarie is patient and understanding, which enables her to tailor her treatment to suit everyone’s individual need. Her personable and friendly nature reassures even the most nervous of patients. Rosemarie has a particular interest in periodontal treatment, cosmetics and prosthodontics. Outside of dentistry, Rosemarie is a voracious reader, accomplished cook and mother of three.

Dr Angus Roche L.D.S., R.C.S.I., M.Sc., U.Lond.
Angus Roche qualified from the College of Surgeons in Dublin in 1970 and was conferred with his MSc by the University of London in 1974. Following a registrar’s post in the Dublin Dental Hospital, he remained on the hospital’s visiting lecturer teaching staff for many years. Angus brings over 50 years of experience in the treatment and care of his patients. His enthusiasm for ongoing education to keep abreast with the challenges facing dentistry today is a fantastic tribute to his interest in dentistry.

Dr Bogdan L. Selejan D.M.D., U.M.F., Tg.M., M.Orth.
Dr. Bogdan Selejan’s career has been built on a foundation of quality education, training and experience. He qualified as a specialist orthodontist 4 years ago and remains passionate about creating healthy, confident smiles. Bogdan carries out every type of treatment, from Invisalign and Damon to traditional braces, but he has a special interest in providing non-extraction solutions to even the most complex cases.
Dr. Selejan is a Registered Specialist in Orthodontics with the Irish Dental Council. His is also a member of the Irish Dental Association and the Orthodontic Society of Ireland.
Since completing his formal specialist training, Dr Selejan continues to attend postgraduate course and seminars throughout the world, in order to provide the best and most up-to-date treatments available. As part of his continuing education, he participates in numerous local and international study clubs and attends specialist-focused courses regularly.
Dr. Bogdan Selejan was born and grew up in Romania, in one of the most famous regions in the world, Transylvania. He qualified as a Specialist Orthodontist from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Tirgu Mures. He now lives in Dublin with his fiancée, Mădălina, who also works as a Dentist.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time in nature, watching GAA, playing sports, snowboarding, listening to music and reading.

Dr Jamie Maguire M.Phil., B.D.S., N.U.I., Dip.Con.Sed., Cert.Implant
Implant & Sedation Dentist
Dr Maguire qualified at the Dental School and Hospital, National University of Ireland, Cork, Republic of Ireland in 1999 with honours in Restorative Dentistry, Paediatrics, Orthodontics, and Oral Surgery, and he was awarded the Colgate Prize for General Dentistry in his final year.
Since qualifying, he has endeavoured to maintain and update his skills and knowledge. He spent three years in Newcastle Dental Hospital undergoing further general professional training Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Prosthodontics, Conservation, Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, Children’s Dental Health, and Sedation. He has been involved in implant dentistry since 2003, and completed the eighteen-month implant training program at Newcastle Dental Hospital in 2011. He is also able to provide conscious sedation, having competed the Diploma in Conscious Sedation in 2011.
He has a real passion for implant dentistry and takes great satisfaction from helping his patients and for some offering them implant options that can be life changing, allowing them to eat and smile with a renewed confidence.

Mrs Tanya Cahill
Tanya has been a vital member of our team at Killiney Dental since we opened in 2017. Her previous job titles include cashier, project manager, childminder and post office counter clerk. Tanya works primarily with the front of house team. She deals with all patient inquiries, phone-calls and emails and will ensure your visit with us runs smoothly from start to finish. In her spare time, Tanya likes to read, walk and spend time with her family.
Miss Jolene Ryan
Jolene joined our practice in May 2018 and is the newest member of our team. She is an exeperienced dental nurse, having worked in this role since for over 12 years. Jolene successfully attained her certificate in dental nursing in Dublin Dental Hospital, graduating in 2016. She is passionate about making patients as comfortable and confident as possible in the dental chair, and is responsible for disinfection and cross-infection control. In her spare time, Jolene enjoys spending time with her two sons and her fiancé.
